On thanksgiving we eat a lot, this year is the first that I made almost all the food, with my mother and grandmother assisting.
Every family has different traditions on thanksgiving, but there are some things that still remain in all families, the turkey, the stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce
We had turkey, sweet potatoes, riced potatoes, stuffing, carrots with a brown sugar glaze, broccoli salad, brussel sprouts, cranberry sauce
Here are some pics of some of the food we ate.
Here is the 7kg turkey filled with the mushroom bread crumb stuffing just about to go in the oven.
The turkey after 14 hours in the oven crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside.
cooked at a low temperature for 12 hours to keep all that meat juicy, and then taken up a little ,the last 2 hours to get the crispy crust.

The sweet potato casserole with marshmallows, a very traditional dish for us on thanksgiving, it really is great, but not to many foreigners like it.
The thanksgiving table before anybody except my sister sat down, turned out to be too much food as always.
